shenzhen entry and exit bureau recently introduced two additional measures about visa and residence permit applications. let’s check what’s new! 

in order to further upgrade shenzhen’s business environment, improve the attraction and mobility of foreign talent into the country, shenzhen announced two new measures to facilitate entry-exit services. 

 

the measures include:

 

• facilitate visa application process

• shorten application processing time

applicants will no longer need to come back to the bureau to collect their application when ready once they have submitted it. relevant applications include: 

 

• chinese visa 

• entry-exit permit 

• 5-year mainland travel permit for taiwan resident 

• single-entry travel permit for taiwan resident
  

• household registration notice

• cancellation of household registration

 

their new visa or other documents will be mailed directly to the address they provided, thereby making the application process a lot more convenient.

processing time for 17 types of visa applications and 2 types of residence permit applications has been shortened from 7 working days to 5 working days. 

 

17 types of visa applications include:

• extension of the r visa, l, g, f, q2, m, j2, s2, x2, and c 

• renewal of the x2 visa, r, f, j2, m, q2, and s2 

 

2 types of residence permit applications include:

• first-time applications
  

• renewal of an existing permit

 

besides, processing time for permanent residence permits has been reduced from 3 months down to 2 months. 

 

as china plans to further open up, there are more and more good policies friendly to foreigners. similar measures will be implemented in more and more cities.

the chinese football association (cfa) accepted marcello lippi’s resignation. 

in the statement on weibo, the cfa also claimed, “we are really sorry that the unsatisfactory match results disappoint all chinese fans.” 

 

“the cfa will reflect seriously to rebuild the team, and try our best in the following world cup qualifiers.” 

the cfa even wrongfully used a chinese idiom to describe the team’s recent performances as “acceptable” rather than “unacceptable”. 

it is the second time for lippi to announce his resignation as china coach after losing a match. 

he first took charge of team china in 2016, before leaving the role in january this year when his contract expired after china lost 3-0 to iran in the afc asian cup. 

 

after the agonizing loss caused by a second half own goal, china now sit in second place in the five-team group a with seven points from four games, five points behind group leader syria. 

since only the top team from the eight groups and the four best second-place finishers will advance, the chinese side are in danger of missing the final round of the asian zone qualifying.

when operators apply for the import license to import mechanical and electrical products purchased through international tendering procedures, they should provide the bid notices instead of the result notices.

applicants for import qualification of crude oil are no longer required to submit written materials of abidance by laws and materials of crude oil import achievement.

• registration form of foreign trade operators
• farm registration qualification of pigs supplied to hk
• materials of supply equally over 6000 pigs to hk per year in 3 consecutive years 

applicants for export quotas of pigs supplied to hong kong are no longer to provide the relevant materials of farm registration and actual supply. 

• qualification of tender company

for those who apply for quota bidding, they don’t have to submit their companies’ qualification materials.
